Eric Hansen
Director of Stories, Donor Development
Eric accelerates the growth of organizations through stories that build partnerships and community.

Born on the Canadian prairies, he grew up traveling the world. After a first career playing professional volleyball in Europe, he worked in a wide range of industries including real estate, private equity, and technology. He has lived in Gouda, Holland; Avignon, France and New York, New York.

For decades, his work has focused on developing creative partnerships. He has designed and implemented growth strategies for award winning private and public companies, founded start-ups and non profits, and consulted for several family offices on risk mitigation and assets acquisition.

Today he is proud to be working at the intersection of storytelling, partnership development and social impact helping Peacegeeks to attract, grow and diversify a donor community.

His maternal Cree heritage feels present, yet it is blank of ancestral family names and stories. Oral history and traditions were effectively erased during the residential schooling of his Cree ancestors. On his paternal side, lineage can be traced to a scandalous romance in Denmark. Facing rigid social expectations, the young lovers immigrated to Canada. Their pioneering spirits led to many businesses and double digit offspring.
